Evangelismos tis Theotokou (Annunciation of the Virgin) and the National Day were both celebrated in a joyous atmosphere in Canada.
As every year, in Montreal, the parade was excellently organized, with the participation of tens of thousands of people, pupils, societies and organizations.
In the parade, there participated the Prime minister of Canada Justin Pierre James Trudeau, Metropolitan Sotirios and the Ambassador of Greece to Canada, Mr. Dimitrios Azemopoulos, as well as the General Council of Greece in Montreal, Mr. Michael Gavriilidis.
After the Divine Liturgy, during the Doxology presided by Metropolitan Sotirios, the Ambassador of Greece to Canada Dimitrios Azemopoulos conveyed the greetings and the message of the meaning of this day for our country.
In the same glorious and celebrating spirit, the parade took place in Toronto and other big cities of Canada.
