On Sunday, July 23 a pilgrimage visit of parishioners of Hagia Sophia of Psychiko was held, accompanied by Fr. George Christodoulou, at the Holy Community Church of Saints Konstantinos and Eleni in Cairo.
The atmosphere of the visit was solemn. Fr. George concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with the head of Church of Saints Konstantinos and Eleni, Archimandrite Stephanos. Following the Divine Liturgy, Fr. Stefanos welcomed the pilgrims to whom he conveyed the blessing of Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, the Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, as well as the heartfelt welcome of the Greek Community of Cairo.
Fr. Stefanos then made an extensive reference to the history of the Church from its foundation to the present day. He also referred to the recent inauguration of the Church and the in-depth renovation.
.Our compatriots were obviously interested in the course of Egyptian Hellenism for the places it lived and flourished, but also for its current way of living in the major cities of Egypt.
