Patriarch Irinej of Serbia celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of St. John Vladimir Belgrade’s district Medakovic on October 11, 2020.
Deputy Dean of Belgrade II, protopresbyter-staurophor Branko Topalovic; parish priest of the Church of St. Sava, priest Dragan Sovljanski; parish priest of the Church of the Holy Apostle Mark Aleksandar Lucic; protopriest Igor Lukic, protodeacon Stevica Rapajic and deacons Miroslav Mitrovic and Milojko Topalović concelebrated.
During the Holy Liturgy, the Patriarch awarded the Order of the Holy King Milutin to the benefactor Stevan Micic and Zarko Ristic. Members of the Board of the Church of St. John Vladimir were awarded with the Charter of the Patriarch: Dalibor Djukic, graduated theologian and professor at the Faculty of Law at the Department of Ecclesiastical Law; Milorad Pucarevic, graduated mechanical engineer; Vladan Aksentijevic, Logistics Director of Ankora Nova; Andrija Bojanic, graduated political scientist for international affairs and secretary for culture in the Administration of the City of Belgrade; Vladimir Djordjevic, Head of Public Lighting and Energy of the City of Belgrade; Bojan Janosevic, internal medicine specialist.
For their active presence in the life of the church and commitment as well as the provision of material assistance, the following personalities were awarded: Zoran Blagojevic, sacristan at the church; Milos Medic, contractor for the construction of the chapel; Ljubica Bošnjak, architect and designer of the church and chapel; Aleksandra Kragovic, entrepreneur; Filip Kosanin, entrepreneur; Djordje and Slavisa Nogostic, entrepreneurs; Sasa Joksimovic, entrepreneur; г. Slavko Boskovic, entrepreneur; г. Dejan Tosic, civil engineer; г. Petar Kovacev, electrical and computer engineer,
After the Holy Liturgy, the Patriarch consecrated the newly built chapel for lighting candles in the church courtyard, and on that occasion he thanked all the benefactors who supported this God-pleasing deed. The chapel was built according to the project of Ljubica Bosnjak, and the main works were performed by Milos Medic.
