The health condition of Archbishop Eirinaios of Crete is stable. The Archbishop, after his long stay in the ICU of PAGNI, recovers in a room of the Neurological Clinic, with a large crowd visiting him daily.
“The health of the Archbishop is stable. He is happy for the visits he receives. Many high priests pass by and visit him. These meetings gave him great joy and we are all happy, as we see our Archbishop to be cheerful. We are glad that his condition is improving”, Bishop of Knossos Prodromos Xenakis said.
Among other things, he also said: “The doctors are happy with the progress of the Archbishop’s health. He is cooperative in what they suggest and he also works very well with the physiotherapist, who sees him every day.”
As reported by neakriti.gr the Ecumenical Patriarch is informed daily of every step of the course of Archbishop’s health and expresses his joy and support.
The Patriarch of Alexandria called the Archbishop of Crete as well in order to ask for his health. The office of the Minister of Education is updated daily through the Secretary General George Kalantzis. Mayors, MPs, clergy and the people communicate to learn news about the health of the Archbishop. We thank them all very much. This attitude of humanity and honor that we receive these days is a great support for all of us”, the Bishop of Knossos said regarding the number of people who visit the Archbishop daily and wish him well.
However, a reasonable question arises: When the Archbishop of Crete, who has undergone tracheostomy and gastrostomy, will be discharged from the hospital?
The Bishop of Knossos replied: “We do not know when the Archbishop will be discharged. The doctors have not given us a timeframe. I am sure that when the doctors will be sure that the Archbishop is able to leave the hospital, they will let us know. Let’s hope that they will inform us as soon as possible”.
