Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Ruzica Church at the Kalemegdan Fortress on Holy Thursday, April 29, 2021.
The Divine Liturgy was concelebrated by Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of Bishops protopresbyter-staurophor Dr. Savo Jovic, Dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade presbyter Dr. Zoran Rankovic, protodeacon Dr. Sava Milin, deacon Dr. Slavoljub Ubiparipovic, subdeacons Vladimir Jelic and Njegos Stikic, as well as readers Andrej Jelic and Pavle Jovanovic.
Professor Dr. Dragan Karan, prodean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade, read the Apostle.
During the Holy Liturgy, the Patriarch ordained presbyter Dr. Zoran Rankovic to the rank of archpriest.
At the end of the service, the Diocesan dean and the head of the church, protopresbyter-staurophor Dr. Vladimir Vukasinovic, thanked Patriarch Porfirije was presented with a cross during a visit to the Kalemegdan shrine and as a gift and prayerful memory.
The Holy Liturgy was attended by the whole administration of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade.
