Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa conveyed his wishes on the beginning of the new school year 2020-2021 to the teachers of the Tositsaio Primary School and the Averofeio High School, who visited the Patriarchal Monastery of Saint Savvas the Sanctified on Sunday, in the presence of new Deputy Coordinator of Education of North Africa and the Middle East, Sotiria Beta.
All the teachers in the Greek schools of the Greek Community of Alexandria, along with the head teacher of Tositsaio School, Kasandri Tsitsou, and the head teacher of Averofeio School, Despoina Kovatzi, had the opportunity to attend the Sunday Divine Liturgy in the historic church and immediately afterwards to receive the patriarch blessing for a successful, blessed and constructive school year.
At the same time, the Patriarch of Alexandria wished the new deputy coordinator of education and all teachers much success in their work, emphasizing that the missionary patriarchate is always on the side of the schools of the Greek Community of Alexandria and especially the students who are the future of the Greek community in Egypt.
On her part, the deputy coordinator conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Education, Niki Kerameus.
It should be noted that the sanctification rite for the beginning of the new school year in the Greek schools of Alexandria and Cairo will take place on Monday morning, September 21.
