Classes begin on September 21 in the Greek schools of Egypt: the Achillopouleio Primary School of the Greek Community of Cairo, the High School of the Ambetios School, the Tositsaio Primary School and the Averofeio High School of the Greek Community of Alexandria.
This decision was announced by the Deputy Coordinator of Education of North Africa and the Middle East, Sotiria Beta, to the management bodies of the Greek schools in Egypt, taking into account “the current situation as it has been updated with the health data due to the COVID-19 pandemic, regarding with the possibility of operating schools in Egypt” and “the official announcement of the Ministry of Education of Egypt that schools may open after September 15 and in no case before this date.” It is noted that classes begin in most international schools in the country this week.
Egyptian schools will open on October 17.
