“We long for the day that a solution will be found to Cyprus national problem”.
This is the statement made by Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, to the Cyprus News Agency.
“We pray, as the Patriarchate of Alexandria, that the blessed people of Cyprus find their salvation”, added the Primate of the Church of Alexandria, during the exequies at the Patriarchal Church for those who lost their lives in 1974.
“We support the tireless efforts of the Cypriot people to find the long-waited and much desired solution in the context of international law and UN resolutions”, continued Patriarch Theodore.
“We pray for all the Cypriots, inside and outside Cyprus, who support our missionary work. And we, gratefully, support their own effort, our national effort, to bring justice to the Cyprus problem”, concluded Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria.
