The online meeting of the Holy Metropolis of France took place on Monday, December 7, 2020.
Metropolitan Emmanuel of France welcomed the clergy who managed to participate in the Assembly that was condacted online. The issue of the reopening of the Holy Temples was discussed first. The clergy had the opportunity to share their views and explain details concerning their parishes in various cities and villages of France. Then there was a discussion about the feasts of the Twelve Days of Christmas and the implementation of restrictive measures as defined by the Government, in order to allow the participation of as many believers as possible in the sacred services, while respecting the instructions of the state. Finally, the Metropolitan of France referred to current issues concerning the proper functioning of the Holy Metropolis of France and advised the clergy accordingly.
The cooperation of all the priests and deacons of the Holy Metropolis of France, including those of the Vicariate, has been excellent, and it has been decided to establish frequent communication through internet, which is particularly convenient due to the long distances between the parishes of France and the Principality of Monaco.
