A new service to help faithful communicate with priests through a special online platform was organized by the Moscow Patriarchate’s Synodal Department for Church’s Relations with Society and Mass Media.
The measure was considered necessary, as in Russia none of the faithful can attend temples because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Faithful people will now be able to reach priests through video calls from their homes, express their questions, ask for advice or just talk about anything that concerns them.
This is why the “Talk to the Priest” group has been created on a specific site, where this unique communication can take place now.
The program initially involves six Priests from different regions of Russia who have significant online communication experience.
The notice states that all conversations are protected and there is no personal data breach.
