Niki Kerameus, Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, met with Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg, at the Kestekidion Greek School, Brussels, on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Minister Kerameus visited the Kestekidion Greek School in Brussels, a building granted by the Holy Metropolis of Belgium to the Greek State. During the brief meeting with Metropolitan Athenagoras, issues related to the School were discussed, mainly regarding the building complex and the needs that arise from time to time.
The Minister did not hide her joy for the meeting with the Metropolitan, thanked the Holy Metropolis for its contribution to the Greek community of Belgium, listened with great care and interest to the issues raised by the Metropolitan and pledged to continue the good cooperation with the local church.
At the same time, she received an official invitation to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Holy Metropolis of Belgium, which will take place next November in the presence of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and she has accepted.
