On Sunday, 3 December 2023, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was joined in prayer from the altar, during the Divine Liturgy which took place at the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George, in Phanar, which Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Nikopolis and Preveza officiated at.
Also present for the Divine Liturgy where Metropolitan Kallinikos of Arta, the Deputy Minister of Education of Greece, Ms. Zetta Makri, Mr. Dimitris Mantzos, Member of the Greek Parliament, Mr. Maxim Vdovichenko, Consul of Ukraine in Constantinople, Mr. Nikolaos Georgakos, Mayor of Preveza, and a multitude of faithful.
Immediately after, the Ecumenical Patriarch received in a special audience Metropolitan Kallinikos of Arta and Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Nikopolis and Preveza, together with clerics of their provinces, and the Mayor of Preveza, who expressed their strong desire in the near future to officially invite the Ecumenical Patriarch to visit their Metropolises.
