On Thursday, February 8, 2024, Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey visited the parish St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey in order to see firsthand the progress of the parish iconography project.
Metropolitan Apostolos was welcomed to the community by the Proistamenos, Archimandrite Avgoustinos Psomas, the President of the Parish Council, Anastasius Efstratiades, the Chairman of the Iconography Project, George Horiates and the iconographer, George Giariskanis. After viewing the work and the beautiful iconography currently being installed on the walls and the dome of the Church, Metropolitan Apostolos congratulated Mr. Giariskanis for the tremendous work that he and his team have done, and offered his appreciation to Fr. Avgoustinos, Archon Efstratiades, and Archon Horiates for their love of the Church and their dedication to continuing the sacred beautification of their parish.
