On Monday, May 13, 2024 almost 700 dedicated Clergy and Faithful gathered together at The Venetian for the Annual Metropolis Northern New Jersey Honoree Grand Banquet.
Throughout this beautiful evening Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey recognized over 150 parishioners in the following categories for their tremendous works and efforts over the past year: Senior Steward, Community, Parish Council, Philoptochos, Religious Education, Greek Education, Youth Worker, and GOYAn. In addition the Metropolis Philoptochos offered a cake to His Eminence in honor of his birthday.
In his Archpastoral address His Eminence expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to all of the evening Honorees for their love and dedication to their local parish, to our sacred Metropolis and to our Orthodox Faith. Most especially he spoke of our GOYA youth honorees, as they represent the future of our Church and encouraged all in attendance to do all that we can to continue to nurture our youth so they may grow closer to our Church and closer to Christ. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees!
