The Fifth Great Vespers of Great Lent was performed at the Metropolis of Kissamos and Selino, officiated by Metropolitan Amphilochios at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation.
After the Great Vespers, Protopresbyterian f. Evangelos Papanikolaou, who is doctor, theologian and missionary, took the floor and spoke on “Way to the Cross”.
Metropolitan Amphilochios of Kissamos and Selino thanked f. Evangelos for his sermon, stressing: “During the Holy Week we are invited to taste the sweetness of the Resurrection that dominates over the death. We are invited to realize that our heart cannot go on, and the joy of paradise cannot be felt without the cross,” concluded Metropolitan Amphilochios Kissamos and Selino urging the congregation to experience the unique events of the Holy and Great Week, and wishing them Happy Easter.
