The Metropolitan of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Athenagoras, was present at the Christmas event at the Kestekidion Greek School in Brussels on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
The school’s management and teaching staff prepared a beautiful and moving event this year, during which they presented the richness of customs and traditions of the Greeks for the great feast of Christianity through poems, hymns, songs and plays.
Bishop Athenagoras spoke at the end of the celebration, congratulated the teachers and the children on the excellent organization and referred to the meaning of the Christmas holidays, which are completed with our participation in the liturgical life of our Church.
The event was also attended by the Coordinator of the Brussels Education Office Dr. Athanasios Dialektopoulos, who in his turn thanked the school for the beautiful event, but also the Metropolitan for the good cooperation of the Metropolis of Belgium and the Greek state officials in Belgium, for the benefit of the Greek diaspora.
