On June 6, 2021, Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria visited Holy Protection Monastery in St. Andrä and officiated the Divine Liturgy in the chapel, accompanied by the Abbot, Archimandrite Paisios Jung, and Archdeacon Maximos Rudko in the presence of the brotherhood of the Monastery.
In his sermon, referring to the evangelical pericope of the Blind Man, the Metropolitan of Austria stressed the importance of meeting in person the Lord, the Light of the world that during our earthly life.
This encounter must of course be transformed into an inseparable relationship with Him since only Christ is the true light of our spiritual life.
In fact, as he said, we are called to transmit this light of Christ to the fellow human beings of our time, which is undoubtedly can be described as an era of spiritual blindness.
Previously, the Metropolitan of Austria, addressing the monastery’s brotherhood, expressed his joy for his visit to the Holy Monastery, emphasizing at the same time the importance of the Resurrection in our lives, which is a declaration of our faith in the fact of the Resurrection of Christ.
