The members of the Association called “Greek Judges Literary Society”, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, visited the Patriarchate of Alexandria during their visit to Alexandria.
Metropolitan Narcissus of Pelusium, the Patriarchal Vicar, welcomed them heartfully.
As soon as they arrived at the Patriarchate, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa welcomed everyone and then everyone sang in a low voice the National Anthem, proving clearly that Greece is everywhere.
The Patriarch greeted them with his paternal kindness and then referred to his missionary work, stressing the importance of Christianity as a whole. He also referred to the Hellenism the spread of which remains uninterrupted in Africa thanks to his tireless efforts and contribution.
At the end of his speech, the Patriarch gave the floor to the President of the Literary Society, Mrs. Sophia Lignou, who thanked him from the bottom of her heart, expressing the feelings of all the members present.
A luncheon followed and the usual ceremonial photo was taken on the historic stairs of the Patriarchate.
The faithful judges from Greece had the opportunity to be the first visitors of the Exhibition that operates on the ground floor of the Patriarchate, where they saw exhibits of various eras.
