On Monday, May 23, 2022, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa met with the Rector of the University Theological Academy “Saint Ignatios” Dr. Michael Hjalm at the Patriarchal Palace in Alexandria.
During this important meeting, the Patriarch was informed in detail about the education programs, as well as the possibility of cooperation between the Alexandrian Church and the above mentioned Theological Academy for the education of students from Africa, initially at a postgraduate level in Stockholm and later on a local level in the African continent.
The meeting was attended on behalf of the Patriarchate by Metropolitan Panteleimon of Naukratis and on behalf of the Academy by Archimandrites Cyril Hovorun and Seraphim Smensgard.
The Patriarch expressed the deepest gratitude of the Presbyterian Alexandrian Church to the Rector and the professors for their interest and concern for the education of the future officers of the Throne.
