A letter to Minister of Education Kostas Gavroglu was sent by the Greek National Union of Theologians (NUT) regarding religion on school diplomas.
“We urge the Minister to immediately suspend this problematic process, of mentioning or not mentioning religion on school diplomas, in order to re-examine the matter further before the parents start taking any legal actions,” the NUT quoted in its letter.
“The way in which the decision of whether or not religion should be mentioned on student titles was implemented, creates many issues and problems, including constitutional issues,” NUT adds in another point in its letter.
