“Thrace is an example of peaceful coexistence of Christians and Muslims,” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis, President of the New Democracy, from Rodopi in the framework of his election campaign in Thrace.
The reason for this statement was the murderous assaults in the two mosques in New Zealand, expressing his “abhorrence” and “sorrow” due to the “blind terrorist violence”, which he condemned “in a commendably clear and unequivocal manner”.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed that this peaceful coexistence is an “achievement” for the region, which deserves to be promoted and supported even more.
