Delegates and heads of the 20 Athonite monasteries wrote a thank-you letter to the outgoing Civil Governor of Mount Athos, Konstantinos Dimtsas, whose term will soon be completed.
“The Holy Community wants to express, on behalf of the Holy Fathers, our heartfelt thanks for your valuable contribution to Mount Athos during your term as civil governor,” said the Athonite Fathers in the letter.
Elsewhere in the same letter, they made a reference to Dimtsas’ valuable contribution to the implementation of an important infrastructure project on Mount Athos as well as his successful effort in reorganizing and staffing of public services on Mount Athos.
Finally, the Athonite State expressed its delight by assuring Konstantinos Dimtsas that the doors will always be open to him, “You will always be welcome in the Garden of Our Lady.”
