The Greek Schools of Alexandria will be open to the students as of Monday, March 1.
The decision was taken jointly by the Greek Community of Alexandria and the Education Coordinator of North Africa and the Middle East, Sotiria Beta, who informed the School Inspectors, Michalis Karydias and Paris Pefanis Makris.
Thus, after a short break of distance learning, which started at the end of last year, the students of Tositsaio Primary School and the Averofeio High School will be back in their classrooms.
However, getting back to normalcy means that all the rules of protection against the COVID-19 pandemic will be strictly observed.
Thus, the Greek Community of Alexandria has meticulously disinfected all areas while it has adequately supplied all types of cleaning and antiseptics as well as face masks for students and teachers.
“We are on the side of students and their parents in this new beginning, but also all teachers who do their best to offer the knowledge to the students of our schools,” stressed the President of the Greek Community, Ioannis Siokas.
It should be noted that with the decision of the Greek Community of Alexandria, the kindergarten of the Tositsaio School welcomed back 11 children.
