Today, February 13, 2020, the official visit of Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostas Vlasis began, focusing on Cairo.
In the afternoon, the Deputy Minister attended the cutting of the Vasilopita of the Greek Community of Cairo with Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria, at the auditorium of the Achillopouleios School.
The Deputy Foreign Minister will also meet with the Primate of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, in the Patriarchal Commissionership of Cairo. Later, he will be guided to the recently renovated historic church of Saint Nicholas and to St. George’s Monastery in Old Cairo.
During his stay in Egypt, Mr Vlasis will visit the Holy Monastery of St. Catherine on Mount Sinai and Alexandria, where he will meet with the Bureau of the Greek Community of Alexandria.
