The Hellenic Nautical Club in Cairo and the Greek Community of Egypt celebrated the Feast of Epiphany.
The Great Blessing of the Waters was already performed at the Churches of Panagitsa Ilioupoleos and of Saints Constantine and Eleni in Cairo. Despite the cold, many faithful attended the Divine Liturgy and then the Holy Cross was cast into the Nile. On the same day, the Hellenic Nautical Club also cut the Vasilopita. Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis thanked the Club for having received the Church during that important Feast.
