At the radio station of Athens News Agency–Macedonian Press Agency, “Agency 104.9 FM”, the Minister of Education, G. Gavroglou, spoke today, Friday, January 18.
When asked how the dialogue between the government and the Church gets underway and when they might come to a parliamentary agreement, he replied:
“The time a new bill will be put to the vote before the Parliament will depend on the discussions. We have presented orally to the committee appointed by the Holy Synod the structure of the draft law we are preparing. We will submit it to the committee and the Patriarchate in writing, we will take into consideration any comments. Then we will begin any procedures related to the Hierarchy and then put to the vote before the Parliament. This is what we intend to do from now on.”
