With the participation of many faithful believers and pilgrims from Sofia, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated yesterday (Tuesday, 27 December 2022), on the day celebrating the memory of Saint Stephen, in the Holy Church of the same name, the Bulgarian Parish, in Phanar of Constantinople.
The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was presided over by Metropolitan Maximos of Silyvria, who was joined also in concelebration by Bishop Polykarpos of Lefkopolis and Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus.
Before the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Polykarpos of Lefkopolis expressed his filial thanks to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, for the permission he granted to him for his participation in the Divine Liturgy and conveyed to the congregation the wishes of Patriarch Neophytos of Bulgaria, and the presiding Hierarch at the Liturgy conveyed the wishes of the Patriarch and the Shepherd of the Bulgarian Parish of Constantinople. In the end, gifts were exchanged and a choir from Sofia performed church hymns.
