The festivities for the consecration of the Church of Saints Konstantinos and Eleni began today in Cairo. The conservation work was carried out by the Greek Community of Cairo and Aikaterini Sofianou – Belefanti.
The Vespers Service is celebrated this evening at the temple. Afterwards, the Greek Community of Cairo offered treats to the attendees at the courtyard of the temple.
Evanthia Rempoutsika will give a concert at the courtyard of the temple at 20:00 (Egypt local time).
On Saturday, September 28, the Patriarchal and Archieratical Co-liturgy will take place. The concentration service of the temple will take place at 11:00.
Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa supervised the restoration work while the Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, kept the Patriarch informed.
