The enthronement of Archbishop Makarios of Austalia will take place on June 29 at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of Virgin Mary (242 Cleveland Street, Redfern NSW 2016).
The new Archbishop of Australia will arrive at Sydney International Airport on June 18.
The Assistant Bishops of the Archdiocese, the Clergy, the Monastics, the pious faithful, together with the State and Political authorities, will greet the new Archbishop at Sydney Airport where the official welcome shall take place.
The Ecumenical Patriarch shall be represented by Metropolitan Stephanos of Tallinn and All Estonia, while there will be also present the clerics of the Archdiocese of Australia, the Monastics and a multitude from across Australia.
The State and Political leadership of Australia will also be present.
On Sunday, June 30, the new Archbishop Makarios shall preside the poly-archieratic Divine Service at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of Virgin Mary.
The faithful of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia are invited to participate in this great and historic event of the local Church.
