Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew convened a meeting of the Hierarchy of the Ecumenical Throne in Constantinople on September 1-3, 2021 as reported by The National Herald.
The meeting will take place at the Holy Trinity Church of Stavrodromion Community in Taksim Square and will coincide with the start of the Indiction, which marks the beginning of the Liturgical Year.
The Hierarchs will participate in the celebration of Indiction and will be invited to sign the Codex of the New Indiction.
The synaxis will be attended by all the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate from the Metropolises of Europe, of South America, of Mexico, of New Zealand, of Korea, Singapore, of Hong Kong, the Archdioceses of America, of Canada, of Australia, of Thyateira and Great Britain, of the Semi-Autonomous Church of Crete, of the Dodecanese, of the New Countries and, of course, the Metropolises of Chalcedon in Turkey, of Derkoi, of the Princes’ Islands, of Imbros and Tenedos.
The Hierarchs have already been informed about this.
It is recalled that three years ago a meeting of the Hierarchy was convened again in the same church because there are spacious facilities there.
