Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora Greeks, A. Diamataris met on Monday, September 9, with the President of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation of the Athens College, Richard L. Jackson.
The Deputy Minister described the meeting as “very useful and constructive” and praised the educational work of the College, from which important personalities of the Greek society have graduated.
For his part, Mr. Jackson referred to the historical course of the Athens College, its educational goals and curriculum, while stressing that the College has embarked on a new course of strengthening and expanding the contacts and cooperation with educational institutions of Diaspora Greeks.
Finally, the possibilities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs collaborating with the Athens College for summer academic and cultural pilot programs, as well as hospitality programs for Greek students abroad were discussed.
