Greek diaspora never lowered the flag of the struggle for Cyprus’ liberation, even when everyday events, at times, influenced the fighting spirit in Cyprus and Greece, said Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Antonis Diamataris.
Speaking at the World Conference of Overseas Cypriots (POMAK) in Nicosia, Antonis Diamataris expressed his confidence that Greek diaspora would never lower the flag of struggle “until a final solution.”
As a representative of the Greek Prime Minister, Antonis Diamataris said at the inaugural ceremony of the conference that Kyriakos Mitsotakis “really cares about the national cause of Cyprus” and “is well aware that Greek community cannot afford concessions or losses.”
He then spoke of “a true spring in the relations between the diaspora communities and the motherland.”
