With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the GOWomen’s Fellowship was established, including the appointing of their patron saint, Saint Emmelia.
The first fellowship meeting was hosted at the Church of Saint Catherine in Malvern, Victoria, on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, in the presence of Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis. It was indeed a blessing to hear spiritual words of edification from His Grace , who spoke to the group of women and inspired them which benefited their souls greatly.
Despite the cold temperatures, over twenty women made their way to the fellowship in order to connect with one other in what was a magnificent outpouring of love for Christ. Bishop Kyriakos offered advice, guidance and shared stories relating to the topic of angelic influence in our lives.
This was followed by a fruitful discussion and inquisitive question time. May the journey of the GOWomen’s fellowship continue to be blessed by God and the Patron Saint of the group, Saint Emmelia.
