On the day of the feast of the Three Hierarchs, the Protopresbyter P. Panos Gazis officiated a Divine Liturgy at the Chapel of St. Catherine in the Greek Community of Alexandria. Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa presided over the service.
Then followed a Memorial Service, as a deeper and inner need of the Protopresbyter P. Panos Gazis, for two loved ones of the Hierarchs of Orthodoxy, the late Archbishop Christodoulos of Athens and All Greece and the late Metropolitan Nikiforos Dedousis of Lefkada and Ithaca, with whom he had been associated with special love and devotion.
Archimandrite Elpidophoros together with students of the Patriarchal School prayed, while Archimandrite Isaac, Head of the Seminary of the Patriarchate, chanted.
The Patriarch of Alexandria rewarded Protopresbyter P. Panos Gazis in his speech.
The Divine Liturgy of the Three Hierarchs and the Memorial were attended by Ambassador Athanasios Kotsionis with his wife Ioanna, the Director of the Greek Community George Boulos, while from the Greek Schools, the Coordinator of Education Sotiria Beta and the directors Paschalina Agapiadou, Konstantinos Rigas, Lena Vostani along with all the teachers and the Secretary of Averofio Mary Mavrikou.
