Dimitris Melissanidis met today with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew as part of his visit to Athens. The meeting took place at the Grand Bretagne Hotel.
The Ecumenical Patriarch was honored by AEK with the Medal of Honor – The Golden Double-Headed Eagle and the flag of the Club. The two men discussed the 100th anniversary of AEK and the Ecumenical Patriarch was briefed on all that has been done and will be done as part of the celebrations, as well as the Museum of Greek Refugees and the History Museum of AEK, which will be inaugurated next Saturday.
The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew also had the opportunity to thank Mr. Dimitris Melissanidis for his generous donation for the construction of the Holy Treasury (Museum) of the Patriarchate.
