Twenty years have passed since the enthronement of Metropolitan Ignat of Berat, Vlora and Kanina, οn July 28, 1998.
He was elected by the Ecumenical Patriarchate on June 24, 1994, the same day when the Primate of the Orthodox Autocephalus Church of Albania was elected. He was ordained in Constantinople four years later, on July 27, 1996, and was enthroned two years later.
With the support of the Archbishop, he has since accomplished a multifaceted, functional, pastoral, social and philanthropic work, following the path of Archbishop Anastasios.
He has proved during these twenty years of pastoral work in Berat, that he was consumed in his faithful, worthy, consistent and sincere ministry.
