Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens had a half-hour meeting today with Elder Metropolitan Emmanouel of Chalcedon.
The meeting took place in the afternoon at the Archdiocese of Athens and was announced as ceremonial.
After the Archbishop of Athens congratulated the Metropolitan of Chalcedon on his important position in the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the two hierarchs had the opportunity to discuss all matters concerning the Church of Greece in the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Among other things, the issues of the positions of the clergy who claim for metropolises of the Ecumenical Patriarchate from the state and other issues that have occupied both sides for the last three years were discussed.
The Metropolitan of Chalcedon symbolically presented the Archbishop with an egolpio depicting Jesus Christ.
