Archbishop Makarios of Australia had a cordial meeting with Metropolitan Ignatios of Northern Madagascar, on Friday, November 3, at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese in Sydney.
The two Hierarchs discussed issues of common interest concerning the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Presbyterian Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, as well as issues related to the missionary work being carried out in the poor island country of the African continent.
At the end of the meeting, the Archbishop of Australia wished God to give strength to the Metropolitan of North Madagascar and his colleagues to continue their blessed work, while the Archbishop of Australia wished the Bishop of North Madagascar to continue his blessed work while Metropolitan Ignatios returned the greetings and thanked the Archbishop cordially for the fraternal hospitality he offered him and in general for his assistance in the missionary work of his Metropolis.
