On Saturday, May 11, there was held the Great Festive Vesper for the celebration of the Synaxis of Icon of Virgin Mary Diasozousa (the Savior) from Sparta of Asia Minor, and all the honored Saints from Ionia, Cappadocia, Pisidia and Nea Ionia, at St. Anargyroi Metropolis in Nea Ionia.
The Festive Vesper was presided by Metropolitan Gabriel of Nea Ionia, assisted by clerics of the Holy Church.
In his sermon, Metropolitan Gabriel referred to the festive event of the Synaxis of the Mother of God and the Sacred patrons of the Holy Church, whose presence and blessing are the ultimate treasure for the faithful congregation of the migrant Holy Metropolis.
