The Patriarchate of Jerusalem published for the knowledge of pilgrims the opinion of the Architect of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Theodosios Mitropoulos, and the Architect of the Franciscan Brotherhood, Nagib Naser, regarding the capacity of pilgrims permitted to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for the Ceremony of the Holy Light.
According to their assessment for the year 2024, the maximum number of individuals allowed to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and its external courtyard is 4,200.
