Pilgrims from the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine visited today the Metropolis of Langadas where they were welcomed by Metropolitan Ioannis.
The Metropolitan of Langadas briefly told them the ecclesiastical history of his diocese while speaking of Saints Cyril and Methodius and Damaskinos Stouditis, Bishop of Liti and Rentini, whose work, though they lived at different times, is timeless and still fruitful.
The Ukrainian pilgrims also visited the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Paraskevi in Langadas, where they were shown around by the General Archieratic Commissioner, Father Anastasios Paroutoglou. While visiting Ossa, they had the opportunity to venerate the relics of Saint Kyranna as well as the site where the relics of Saint Akylina were found.
They also visited the Holy Trinity Monastery in Pente Vryses, the Ecclesiastical Sacristy and the Library of the Metropolis of Langadas.
