Two more Metropolitans of the Church of Greece expressed their serious concern about the developments on the burning issue of Macedonia.
Metropolitan of Kitros, George, stressed among other things that: “Events unfold rapidly. No complacency is allowed. The fight for Macedonia goes on”.
“We reject the Prespes Agreement, which -we believe- does not serve our country. We are on the side of those who are in agony for the development of this national matter”, Metropolitan George adds.
The Metropolitan of Kitros concluded in encouraging the people of his region to participate in the protest rally in Athens, underlining that “Macedonia is one and Greek”.
On the same page was also the Metropolitan of Fthiotida, Nicholas, who, in his announcement said that “the difficult political situation of these last days violates the democratic spirit and ignores the opinion of the overwhelming majority of the Greek people.”
“Our Church relates to and goes hand in hand with the people, who strongly affirms its voice that Macedonia was, is and will always be Greek,” Metropolitan Nicholas stresses.
