The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing a two-day conference on “Reflections of Principles of Policy and Strategic Drawing on Religious and Ecclesiastical Diplomacy” on Thursday, February 28 and Friday, March 1.
The event will involve more than 40 speakers from religious/ecclesiastical bodies active in Greece.
The first day sessions will focus on inter-Orthodox relations, with speakers-representatives of the Orthodox Church.
The second day sessions will centre on issues of interfaith diplomacy, with speakers-representatives of other dogmas and religions who have a presence in Greece.
At the opening of the two-day conference, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, Minister of Foreign Affairs George Katrougalos, Deputy General Secretary of the World Council of Churches Prof. Ioan Sauca and General Secretary of the Council of European Churches Heiki Huttunen, will extend a welcome.
The event will be held at the auditorium G. Kranidiotis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Academias 1).
