The Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos, performed the Orthros and Divine Liturgy on January 21, 2024, at the chapel of Saint Germanos, Patriarch of Constantinople, situated in the narthex of the School’s chapel. The occasion coincided with the feast day of Saints Maximos the Confessor and Neophytos the Martyr.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Abbot Kassianos offered trisagia, prayers for the repose of the souls, honoring the late Patriarchs Neophytos VIII and Maximos V. Neophytos VIII rests in the cemetery of the School, while Maximos V, along with other late Hierarchs and notable figures associated with Halki, were remembered during this solemn occasion.
