Three more new cases – which are added to the ten existing ones of the previous days – were detected on Tuesday on Mount Athos.
According to information from ANA-MPA, the three cases are located in a hermitage in the wider area of Karyes.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Infectious Disease Specialist Sotiris Tsiodras and the General Secretary for Civil Protection Vassilis Papageorgiou returned from the Athos peninsula, who had meetings with representatives of the Mount Athos Community and the political administration in order to take new measures to limit the spread of COVID-19.
The NPHO (National Public Health Organization) team remained in Karyes in order to carry out sample checks, the results of which are expected to become known today.
