On the Sunday of the Veneration of the Holy Cross Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon presided over the Orthros and Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
The Metropolitan was accompanied by Archimandrite Eugenios Karatzas, the Oikonomos of the Ecumenical Throne Fr. Vasilios Ioannidis, and Deacon Asterios Bardaktsis.
On the Sunday of the Veneration of the Holy Cross, our Church projects the Holy Cross in the center so that the faithful may draw strength and be strengthened in their spiritual struggle on the way to the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord.
The President and members of the Community of Chalkidona were present, as were many of the faithful from the area, who came to the church very early.
At the end of the ceremony, the veneration of the Holy Cross took place and the Metropolitan distributed flowers to the faithful, wishing them a happy Resurrection.
Archon Asikritis Fotis Katsis was in charge of the Cathedral and Treasurer of the Community of Chalcedon.
