The inauguration event of the Second Great Conference of the International Orthodox Theological Union (IOTA), in Volos, was successfully held.
The opening event included a Vespers service celebrated by Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias at the Church of St Constantine and the keynote speech was given by Metropolitan Amvrosios of Korea, at the Conference Center of the Metropolis of Demetrias.
The speaker focused on the great problem of ethnophyleticism and the need for the Orthodox world to regain its unity.
The Conference, which has gathered around 400 delegates from all over the world, will continue until Saturday in halls in the center of Volos and will conclude with the Divine Liturgy next Sunday.
