Today, Sunday, May 26, in the presence of the delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, led by Metropolitan Emmanuel of France, Metropolitan Amphilochios of Adrianople and representatives of Mount Athos Monasteries, Epiphanius (Dimitriou) was consecrated as the new Bishop of Olbia.
The consecration was held by the Primate of the Autocephalous Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius, in the presence of many Hierarchs of the Autocephalous Church at St. Michael Cathedral, Kiev.
It is worth mentioning that, according to the decision of the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Church of Ukraine, the new bishop shall be responsible for the Greek churches of Ukraine.
