Ukrainian MP Olexandr Kachura had a meeting with the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bishop Michael of Komana and Archbishop of Winnipeg and Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, Bishop Hilarion.
As the Ukrainian MP shared in a post on social media, the central focus of their discussion was on strategies to achieve reconciliation and unity within Ukrainian Orthodoxy.
He also expressed gratitude for the Ecumenical Patriarch’s involvement in the prisoner exchange and the return of Ukrainian children, while highlighting that the Ecumenical Patriarch’s presence at the Peace Summit was a testament to his steadfast support for Ukraine’s quest for a just peace.
