On Sunday, January 31, Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia performed the Divine Liturgy and blessed the altar breads, wishing for the health of the teachers and students, at the Church of Saint Alexandros in Lusaka.
The Metropolitan of Zambia in his speech, referred to the multifaceted work and the great offer of the Three Great Hierarchs, Who bring the Spring to our souls.
The Metropolitan of Zambia noted: “There were Three Hierarchs, yes, only three but they were, colossi of letters, giants of the Spirit, real Titans. That is why they managed to bring Spring to the souls of the people around them and to the societies they lived in. A spring that they bequeathed to the later generations, a spring that they bring every moment with the timelessness of their work”.
They had “Virtue and Courage” as our National poet Andreas Kalvos said. The three Hierarchs inspire us, the humble workers of the Mission, to draw strength from them in order to make our personal revolution in the modern difficult times”, Metropolitan Ioannis concluded.
